I finished my photography degree at the University of Portsmouth with an optimistic feeling that I would find the perfect job in press photography in order to use my new set of skills. However, seven months down the line, that sense of hope was fading away as I kept finding I needed more experience....

Prova supports DS Smith through commingled Judicial Review process

Earlier this year, six members of the Campaign for Real Recycling (CRR) took Defra and the Welsh Government to court over their transposition of the EU-revised Waste Framework Directive, and in particular whether commingled collections should be allowed. On 6th March, the Judge, Mr Justice Hickinbottom, ruled broadly in favour of Defra and the Welsh Government, claiming that their amended Waste Regulations (2011) – which allow for commingled collections when technically, environmentally and economically practically (TEEP) appropriate – now fulfil the Directive’s requirements....

While George Osborne, announced support for carbon capture and storage (CCS), shale gas and new high energy-using industries in Budget 2013 on 20th March, several in the industry have already pointed out that support for the low carbon sector did not go far enough. Indeed, low carbon business provided one third of all UK growth between 2011 and 2012, with predictions equally strong for the coming years....
