While Olympic (and Paralympic) fever may be well and truly over, the sporting glow encompassing the UK has continued. A certain Mr Murray followed up his Olympic medals by winning the US Open and the European team fought back from certain defeat against the Americans to retain the Ryder Cup crown.
While the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee set the scene for a summer of excellence (albeit a rainy one), Christmas is now firmly on the horizon and the first snow of the season is predicted in the UK this week (up in Scotland).
